I'm from Toledo, OH about 2 miles from the line of MI. We are a foster family and have adopted 5 children. We just moved to a 5400 + sq. 2 home history. We (3) 2,5-3 tons of Air Conditioning units to cool the huge house. We have a cheap house ... $ 175K not could pass up! Anyway ... I wonder how many solar panels would take and what power the power of these central air-and perhaps the rest of the house. We 13 people in our house ...... 9 of them children who leave the lights on and run the Hot Water to beat the band. We all appliances brand new star energy and front loader washing machine and dryer. Oil and Gas hot water tank. I was thinking about the use of window frames of metal and the purchase of solar cells and make my own panels. Just do not know how much to buy.
