Do you think a Manhattan Project for energy/tranportation could yield a result within 10 years?
The gas combustion engine is technology that is over 100 years old and has obvious consequential byproducts. I think new technology that could ultimately replace the gas combustion engine may be:
- Teleportation – the ultimate transport method
- Ionic Transfer – would enable flying cars, even flying skateboards
- Antimatter – currently exists but extremely expensive
Whatever it may be, do you think the technology could be developed within a 10-year Manhattan Project?
my guess would be none of the above.
The closest revolution of technology would be solar and improved battery storage which would be as economically suitable as fossil fuel use.
A bit further out we might be able to get a viable way of getting energy from a fusion reactor.
