Has anyone used the IQAir HealthPro Plus?
My daughter was tested for allergies and she is allergic to our dogs i want to know if the IQ Air Health Pro Plus really works…

Liz: If you aren’t already using Allerpet for dogs on your dog, you should start right away. You rub it on the dog once a week and it neutralizes the proteins from the dog’s urine and saliva that cause your daughter to become sick. I will give you a link to their website so you can read about it and see who in your area sells it. As far as the IQ goes, I think they are very pricey to buy and even pricier to maintain because they have so many filters that need changing. I am going to give you a link that tells you how to evaluate air filters for yourself. You can’t always rely on Consumer Reports and Allergy Buyers Club to give you the best info. The former only rates machines that are available in the big box stores and the later has a financial interest in giving you info. I am also going to give you a link to a page that tells you how to deal with cat allergy. I know you have a dog and not a cat, but the steps are basically the same. In my own home, I have 3 Austin Healthmate machines. I have 1 big one and 2 small ones. The big one is almost 10 years old and the smaller ones are newer because each time one of my kids moved out on their own, they took their Air Cleaner with them! I love the air cleaners I have because I only have to change the filters every 5 years. All 3 have been very reliable (well I have actually bought 5 when you count the 2 my kids took with them) and have worked to keep my house allergy free. Be sure to stay away from anything that creates ozone…that is bad business for your daughter. Good luck. I know from experience that a good air cleaner makes all the difference
