Raised floor heated?
I will be in the process of installing an electric Radiant Floor flat in a raised platform /. In the past I have had problems with freezing pipes under the ground during the winter. Do you think the platform Floor Heating induces enough heat to prevent freeze-ups the future? The floor is raised by 2x8 edge with 3 / 4 inch plywood subfloor. I am planning on tiling the top of this. Currently, the heat tape .... pipes but to isolate the area properly to remove ou mean the basement and toilet to reach the pipes. Any suggestions or agreements? Also I am thinking of ventilation on one side of the platform to allow cold air to escape and do not accumulate. This will be covered with a regular grid. Thanks
This will help somewhat, depending on the amount of time it is on. But do not expect to solve the problem of original isolation
