People who use fleece bedding for Non Guinea Pigs (and the use of pads matterss below)?

What kind of mattress that works best to use under the fleece, water testing wouldnt work right because you need something to absorb urine i know this might sound like I'm going to spoil my guinea pig (lol thats such a bad thing), but I use a heat mat my room is very cold at night, even when the heat is on so I using a heated or should we just buy a regular mattress and a small space heater

I agree, I wouldnt use electric with the piggies. We layer paper towels and fleece. If you go the route mattress, just want to use whatever is the cheapest you can find. Sales of garage / store Second-hand is a good place to look for a low cost.
