Motor oil that covers the best heat and cool faster? 5W-40W or 5W-50W?
What other ways can I do to make the needle more cold that marks the halfway point? It appears that the average mark is the maximum a motor oil can bring, will mean a little more motor oil missing in the control of heat? I tried to add the engine additive STP, but after a while the overall performance seems a little draggy or heavy, why is that?
Why do you think the car is overheating? If the coolant temperature needle is in the midrange is probably OK. If the coolant temperature OK, then the oil is fine too. A different viscosity will not make a difference. To change the temperature of the engine, you can try a thermostat w / A lower temperature setting, but would be reluctant to deviate from factory specifications of the temperature or viscosity of the oil. If the vehicle is overheating any heavy loads, runs, or some other high-stress application, then oil cooler or a larger radiator may be desirable, but what you said, I do not think that's the case.
