What is the best way to prepare beans for cooking?
I soaked a bag of dried beans for 24 hours, then put them in freezer bags and stored in the freezer. Then I took some to use in a recipe of rice, but after eating baked beans are to follow being! They were "edible" but crunchy. How can I fix this? Should I soak them longer, or should I simmer over? Would steam cook faster than boiling?
