What is the best source of heat to a basement that has no heat and is 800 to 1000 square feet finished.?
I do not want to wear anything poses a health risk, such as unvented heaters.
I have a similar situation, and use an oil filled radiator that connects It has a thermostat in digital control to adjust the temperature you want, and read the actual room temperature. It also has three "speed" controls that can be set to heat up faster (uses more energy) or slowly (more efficient energy). It is certain that not going to take something in fire or release vapors in the air, however, at higher settings may be hot to the touch. Depending on the configuration of its space (ie it is a large open room, or split, or there are major obstacles), I would recommend 1 unit of heat for every 400 square feet, or thereabouts. You can also get ceramic heaters with various options such as oscillating fans, temperature controls and automatic shutdown when the tip, however, those fans are obviously going to make noise, while anything without a fan will be quiet. Since we are about the end of winter, you should be able to find some settlement offers to each type of stove in stores like Target or Home Depot.
