Will I have to replace the radiator if I can find a replacement bleed value?
When it comes to drain the central heating, accidentally broke a radiator bleeding average – half still in the radiator, but I can not remove it by pressing the bleeding. I've looked for replacement blood values BQ n, but the closest I can find is the radiator air vents (they're the same thing?). However I believe that the radiator of an old design (15 years and I think a cheap one, judging by the attitude of the former owner of the house) and do not think the bleeding can replace the value that way. So … Does that mean I will need a new radiator? And if I have a team to combat corrosion by water to fill the new system or it is not necessary these days as a plumber told me, the other day. Depends …… Most radiator traps not screw directly into the radiator. The bleeder valve usually a 1 / 2 "thread and is available in any store plumber. There are some with a 1 / 4" thread too, but are a little hard to find. If the Screw the nipple directly into the radiator, replace the radiator, and adding an inhibitor such as Sentinel X100 or Fernox MB1, as the radiators are old and the system probably prone to corrosion …..
