Can anyone help me with a price for plumbing work?
Im in Ireland and am having a new water tank installed in my bathroom. Nothing high-power, a cylindrical tank. I know nothing of what this should cost. There will be no lifting of fllorboards or up to the attic or nothing. Does anyone out there that can give me a realistic estimate? Thanks
I work for a plumbing store, which depends on the size of tank you require, the Standard sizes start 900×450mm, 1050×450mm, 1200×450mm all copper, pre lagged, indirect (through boiler) or directly (with heating through immersion heater). For a plumber in trade prices start to smaller size approx 125 pounds reaching as much as 160 pounds depending its influence plumbers, also due to the large increase in copper prices. Of course, it could be that you require a special cylinder due to demand, then costs can vary, but around the £ 200 mark. While it is a direct replacement, a plumber must change in a few hours drive. Plumbers prices vary, one-man band can start at around £ 20 per hour rising to £ 40-45 per hour for a larger company, due to overheads. Some advice would be go to a recognized trader Plumbers, IE Plumb Center, Town of plumbing or STP, ask the class or rude fellow behind the counter of a plumber recommended that you use, will generally be good for him to return for a private bathroom one day. While its not, ask what they would charge you for that cylinder in particular sometimes its worth a try, you can get trade prices! In all, if a direct exchange, pay no more than £ 300 for the provision and adaptation of 900×450mm and no more £ 500 for the largest.
