Portable Swamp
swamp cooler problem?
So I have a portable swamp cooler on my window in my garage, it fits slightly flush with the window with about an 8 inch gap between the outside and the garage. The swamp cooler has one aspen pad. I crack open the garage door slightly (maybe about 10 inches) and crack open the side door to the outside about an inch or so. I let the puppy run for about an hour, get back and I don’t notice a difference in cooling its just HOT inside. Granted its about 105 degree outside the inside is 101 degrees but still extremely hot and at times just hot and humid.
Any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong or is it just the heat that’s causing the problem?
The pump IS working. The levels do lower and at times as stated before it gets humid, so there is water in the air.
sounds like the unit is not able to deliver the CFM(cubic feet per minute) of cooled air needed to reach the target temp. try a larger unit and add fans. good luck, stay cool…
