Reduce Utility Bills
Where does the money ComEd gets for including advertisements in with our utility bill go?
Every time I open my ComEd Electric bill, there's 4 or 5 advertisements included. Usually, I just send them back with my payment, but this time I included a note stating the same question I am asking here. I doubt it'd get acknowledged at the "payment center", so I was wondering if anyone here knows where all that money ComEd gets for including those advertisements with our bill, goes? Shouldn't that money help to reduce our high energy bills? Or, does it all go in executive pockets? We're only a family of 4, there's NOT all kinds of electronics plugged in and on all day, we turn lights off when not in the room, etc. M-F no one is home most of the day. When we are home, we try to conserve energy as best as possible, yet my electric bill monthly budget amount is $265.00! I know there's HUGE money in advertising....why isn't it passed onto us in this time of energy crisis?
Some may go into executive pockets. Also some goes to the salesperson that sold the advertising. The rest which from what I heard was about 50 percent goes into the general income fund. It might save you a few pennies on your bill. Not significant but some.
