How can we increase the efficiency of solar cells?
The solar cells / solar panels are organic, but at the time of other sources of electricity cheaper than solar energy. How can we make solar cells more efficient and cheaper?
Each solar cell has a theoretical maximum. It is a characteristic of the cell, and not the conditions of matter can not be higher. The most efficient to date is ~ 35%. Factoring in the material and system limitations, the maximum efficiency we have achieved is ~ 30%. Unless we find a new combination of materials for solar cell efficiency will remain low.
