How long can you leave a solar battery charger connected to your car?
The battery in my car goes dead if not start every 2-3 days. I want to go away for 2 weeks or so .. Would she leave a solar battery charger connected to my car for that amount of time? I have not bought one but only collecting information at this time.
Its likely that the battery can only be replaced. The battery should always start unless your state two months or more. If the battery was dead for a long period of time that can be sulfated in which case it will probably be cheaper to just replace it. Also may be that the alternator is not charging up. You can take it to a store and see or you can measure voltage with a multimeter peep. You must be at or above 14v when the car is running (alternator, if not bad) and above 12.5 V and when the car is off (battery if it is wrong). A charger solar, which costs less than $ 100 will not hurt your battery. Its output power is useful, but small compared with one that plugs into the wall.
