Heat pump air-source: is there a trick? Comparison to the homeland?
We are thinking eco-friendly heating (heating central and Hot Water) for our home. We plan to use a solar panel, but given the changeable weather in the UK also have another source. A pump heat is very attractive, especially when used with carbon-free electricity, we have. Is there any reason that is not a good solution? Are there any disadvantages compared with the ground heat pumps?
Land is more expensive and installers in my area have had problems with heat transfer fluid. Source Air is cheaper but noisier and less effective.
