I realize that many people purhase the solar Malibus Wal-Mart, which are independent and each has a set of rechargeable batteries. It sticks in the earth and the sun eventually charged. Are they worth it ......
I have both solar and electric light in my garden. Since I live where temperatures can soar over 100 degrees in summer, I note the solar lamps do best and do not crack or break with temperature changes. However, they generally do not last long as the electric light. For some reason, the solar battery gives little after a few years and can not be replaced or recharged more. Housing in the solar light is good, but not be illuminated at night. Moreover, the problem with the electric light Wired is the cable that binds the light to light. Over time, it simply goes wrong. The good news is that you can replace the length of cable goes wrong, but you have to have the gizmo to find where it is. Therefore, each has its own problems and we just replace it every 2-3 years. Most they are produced in China and like Christmas lights, which are not meant to be a purchase of a lifetime.
