How long does it take to charge a 12V deep cycle with a 10 watt solar panel?
I also want to know if the number of 10 watt solar panel is 10 watts per day and is constantly adding 10 watts? Is there a time that 10 watts is added as 10 watts per second or 10 watts per minute and so on?
10w solar panel means maximum efficiency (noon, said flat panel in the sun, hitting 90 degrees), you get 10 watts (at any time). Watts = volts x amps one 12volt battery needs an "incoming" stream of at least 13 volts to charge it, the 13.5 volts is better. So if the panel output voltage is less than 13 volts I used to do nothing. Even if you are, 10 / 13.5 = .74 amp. (three quarters). There will forever and a day to charge a battery discharge deep deep cycle .......... consider that a small 110v battery charger is putting out 3.5 Amps (or 3 x 110 = 330 watts) and a car alternator is putting out from 20 to 50 amps at 14 volts (280 to 730 watts).
