Portable Power Pack
Portable power packs have been around for a while, but are beginning to gain popularity, in part because its cost is been reduced and they are very useful products. I personally own more than 300 Xantrex and have used it several times. Once on a hot summer day at a commercial, a guy having a bad day to ask if he could help revive his car. I took my Xantrex Power Pack 300, who had been in the trunk for almost a year, includes attached jumper cables to his car and volia, it is your car started right away.
A portable charger is a device that has a battery Powerful sealed, an inverter, battery cables, a DC outlet (cigarette lighter style) and an AC outlet. It also includes a bright fluorescent light with two tubes and a small pump with pressure gauge to inflate your tires. The 20 hours of rechargeable amplifier (at 400 and 300) will power a cordless telephone for up to 40 hours, a laptop for 6 hours and a portable stereo up to 25 hours when fully charged battery. It can be recharged from a standard wall outlet with the included AC charger.
There, various sizes of portable power packs, 300, 400 600 and 1500. The model number indicates the size of investment - 300 watts, 400 watts 600 watts and 1500 watts respectively. The power number is also the amount of energy peak AC is available. Each size has a battery with a different number of ampere hours. The 300 and 400 have a 20 amp hour battery. The 600 has 28 hours battery amp and the 1500 has a battery of 51 hours amplifier. It is not as portable as the other models, but packs a considerable blow. All batteries for all models are sealed and not spill. All packages include a power handle and are very portable. The 300 pounds, plus weighs only 20, but the 1500 weighs whopping 60 pounds. So the 1500 is the only model with wheels.
All of the power packs have the same basic characteristics, but models with higher numbers include additional features. The 400R includes a radio. The 600HD includes a radio, digital clock and multiple outputs AC. There is even a model with a detachable solar panel. Only a little research on what the features and the amount of energy you need will pay off in the long term.
Portable power packs are great for use as emergency backup to reactivate a car or to illuminate a area on a dark road. It will keep a cell phone or GPS from a car battery drain. There are also a large number of applications that are simply fun. Take one over the summer and the match hitting a fan in it. Take a camping and connect an electric stove in it or use it for additional light. They may be able of a stereo to a tailgate or anywhere else outdoors. If you use a laptop in the field, have a greatly extend throughout their lives battery. The energy sources are not really so expensive with prices starting around $ 140. Throw one in the trunk of your car and you're ready for any thing.
