Solar battery charger?

I just found that some vehicles were not charged with solar battery charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter because when the ignition is not set to the position that I will not Circuit should have realized this early on because i cannot light my cigarette less the key is in the on position, but in my solar charger is a flashing light that flashes on and off, but when I plug it in to stop I have a number VR Holden Acclaim 2 some with knowledge of the Electrical wiring cars and could leave me know if this is really seeping into my battery power. thanks.

Mine works fine – however you must have the key in the ignition before starting to charge – which will remain in charge after removing the key. It will not work yet if you take the key and then try. You do not mention what charger you have, but mine also has an LED that indicates when its charging and when it is not.
