How to deal with colored filters give a wavelength range of unique?
I need to do a science project, and the need to measure the effect photovoltaic, different wavelengths of light in my solar cell with a voltmeter. I'm trying to do this with a small focus of a disco ball, using color filters that comes with it. Will it work? There are two ways for a color filter to make the light look green. You can simply pass green light, meaning that the light is restricted to a single rank (the color range green). Or you can go blue and yellow light, which means that it is limited to two ranges. Due to the way your eye works, there is no way of knowing based solely on looking at the color. However, there are ways to tell. What you should do is get a prism (the shards of glass ... a little like a glass crystal chandelier will also work, but not so good) and the light shining on it. The prism splits the light by its wavelength or color, so that white light comes out like a rainbow. If you put the green light indeed then only get the green light out. If you put the blue and yellow light is green, then you will receive a blue and a yellow band of light. Most likely the filters will be a combination of these two colors. Now if you have such a prism, an easier way to obtain monochromatic (one color) shine the light is white light in the prism. That separate the colors into a rainbow.
